Getting started

How do I get started?

You create an account at my.isms.gr, confirm your email, and you can send your first message.

Is there a welcome gift?

Yes. Every new account gets a €0.20 balance, so you can try sending before you top up. It is given once per email and once per mobile number.

What does it mean that there are no “credits”?

Your balance is money in euros, not units. You always see how much you have left and how much each send costs. See the pricing.

Messages

How many characters fit in an SMS?

A message with plain Latin characters (GSM) fits 160 characters. If it is longer, it is split into parts of 153. If it contains characters outside GSM, for example emoji, it is sent as Unicode: 70 characters, and then 67 per part.

Can I use my own sender name?

Yes. You request the name you want from the panel and we approve it. In Greece and in some countries there is no restriction on the sender name.

Can I schedule a send or repeat it?

Yes. You can set a date and time for the message to go out later, and set it to repeat.

What about numbers that don't want messages?

You can put them on the blacklist and they will not receive messages from you. See the API if you want to do this from your own system.

Can I see whether messages were delivered?

Yes. You see the status of each message and, through the API, delivery reports without setting up a webhook.

Payments

How do I top up my balance?

By card, instant payment, or bank transfer. All on the Payment methods page.

Do the prices include VAT?

No. Prices are shown excluding 24% VAT, and the final amount is shown before you confirm the order.

For developers

Can I send SMS from my own system?

Yes, with a JSON API over HTTPS. You create a key in the panel and send with a single call. See the API page.

Can I send through SMPP too?

Yes. SMPP access is opened on request: contact us and we will activate it. See the API page.

SMPP or HTTP API: which should I choose?

The HTTP API is the easiest way to start. You create a key yourself from the panel, you don't need a static IP, and you read delivery reports without a webhook. It suits e-shops, CRMs and booking systems that you write or adapt yourself.

SMPP is a protocol that ready-made messaging platforms and gateways support, so you can often connect it with configuration and no programming. It is usually used when your system sends a lot of messages and keeps a permanent connection. The connection is encrypted and allowed only from specific IP addresses, and messages are charged from the same balance.

With both, as in the panel, the same blacklist and the same spam filter apply.

What is checked before a message is sent?

Numbers on the blacklist are skipped and not charged, and the text goes through a spam filter. This applies on all three ways of sending: the panel, the HTTP API and SMPP.
